15 years ago "wavemusic Volume 1" launched the success story of California Sunset Records feat. wavemusic. We thought this anniversary deserved a special commemoration in the form of a world-first: ArtonVinyl. The resulting Collectors Edition of wavemusic Volume 20 was created in collaboration with photographer/actor Kai Wiesinger, and combines sensual imagery with select sounds and innovatively stylish packaging.
The wavemusic 15th Anniversary Edition comes in an 8-page hardback mediabook in the 36x36cm format, which in turn includes a 24-page booklet featuring the photographs taken by Kai Wiesinger specially for the Collectors Edition.
ArtonVinyl - as the name suggests, the as always expertly compiled wavemusic double CD is accompanied by a vinyl record featuring selected instrumentals from wavemusic Volume 20 - analog remastered and thus optimized for record players. We see ourselves as innovators not only in the art of packaging but also, and primarily, in the art of compiling music. Volume 20 shifts effortlessly between melodic Deep House, easy-going Jazz, Singer/Songwriter and Electro beats - Disclosure, Chet Faker, Chuck Loeb and others are teamed up to illustrate that good music truly knows no genre bounds.
