In the contemporary world of music spanning Pop, Jazz, Latin and Lounge we often find hidden nuggets just waiting to be discovered ? extraordinary songs and exciting new artists. We are proud to present such musical pearls on Groove & Melody (in association with TV Spielfilm magazine).
We sometimes ?dig? for months on end to find sources for (and rights to) songs that are either new or have not yet been discovered in their specific version. A fine example is the Doky Brothers feat. Gino Vannelli and their ?Tender Lies?. What a voice, what a song and what an arrangement! You may not be acquainted with Randy Waldmann either ? an artist who, if at all, is known only from his soundtrack work. His version of ?Maniac? with Michael Sembello (vox) shows how much soul this legendary Pop song has. We were also blown away when first hearing the live version of Fessler?s ?You light up my life?, a captivating combination of magical vocals and guitar.
