With unbridled bliss in mom's lap, with pride when up front in dad's car for the first time, or with butterflies in your stomach next to your first love on the school bus etc. That evolves into settling down in couples' cinema seats, cozying up with a book on the couch and lounging with friends over a glass of wine. You can?t beat sitting.
Judging by the veritable classics among the highly imaginative furniture devised by designer George Nelson, he must have been a very keen sitter. His Marshmallow Sofa and Coconut Chair are timeless icons of style.
